Hello. This is me.
(and my husband)
My name is Yolanda. I’m just your (not so) ordinary girl. I am a happy-go-lucky kind of person who cracks jokes about everything. I’m corky and weird. I’m a very spontaneous person especially when it comes to what I say. I quote movies like crazy (mostly kid movies…Yes, I’m a mom). I’m a wife, a mother, a homemaker, and a follower of Christ. I strive to embrace the things that make me different and am a work in progress.
I think that women fall into the pressure of society, to conform to its idea of what a woman should be. I feel that a lot of women believe that if you follow suit you will be happy and everyone will like you. I think this because this use to be me. I also believe that this can change. I realized who I presented to others wasn’t really me. The real me I hid inside where no one could hurt me by there judgements. But I couldn’t live that way. With no one who really know me and no way to be truly happy. So I made a conscience decision to start living an authentic life.
This blog came about as a way to share the journey and hopefully create a community of women, who support each other’s uniqueness and help one another become authentically themselves.
